Directions from Whitwell

Go along Gills Cliff Road, turn right at the traffic lights into Castle Road. Turn left at the T junction at the bottom and Ventnor Park is on the right-hand side.



From Ventnor Town Centre

Turn left at the traffic lights and head west towards St Lawrence. Ventnor Park is less than half-a-mile from the town centre, on the left-hand side of Park Avenue.



On foot from La Falaise carpark

Follow the coastal path west towards Steephill Cove. Bear right at each fork and climb steps to the rear gate.

Well maintained The park is beautifully maintained. We spent a pleasant hour wandering around. The water features are particularly attractive but there are paths up to higher ground with views over the sea.

Peaceful Cafe open some days by the putting green. Peaceful place with walk along a stream. Beds full of flowers. If you go up the hill there is an outdoor gym and access to coastal path. Parking on road.

Sunday music We sat off for a couple of hours in the park listening to the music at the bandstand. There is free music every Sunday. At the back of the park there are steps down towards steep hill cove and ventnor.

Lovely Park, good tea and cakes. This is a lovely park to walk around and to sit a while. The flower beds are well tended. There are tea and cakes available too. What more could you want? It seems well frequented by the locals - a good sign.

Pretty Well appointed gardens, with good borders. Nice for a pretty walk and good access to the beach / coastal paths.

Amazing, well kept and looked after. Lovely area, easily accessible to visitors and locals. Beautifully kept park and the ducks are so friendly. The toilets were well kept and there is a mini ice cream and drinks stand. We didn’t visit the putting section however looked lovely and had a few people on it.

A little snippet of peace A very well kept, nature inclusive park. A very peaceful place that's worth the visit. Snack area is good for a tasty BLT and it is just one of those places to slow down and chill.

Ventnor Fringe This is a tranquil park with a stream and koi carp, ducklings, and a bandstand This is the venue for the annual Ventnor Fringe, which lasts for 10 days. I support this event with varied performers, comedians, circus, and even burlesque. Ticket prices are reasonable, especially if you purchase an annual 2 for 1 'culture pass' See my photos to see what to expect.

Super space Very nice. Shows what a small park can be. Well done to those you look after it. Clean and tidy - rare in parks now.
